2/28 - Come to the Congregational Meeting on Sunday!
Come to the congregational meeting after the second service on 2/28 and find out the goals developed by the boards for our church. For more info, see the online Beacon for March (from the www.bslcboise.org site, click Newsletter).
On Sunday, February 21st, we will welcome new members to BSLC at both services. A potluck lunch will follow the late service. Sign up to bring a dish on the sign up sheet on the entryway bulletin board.
All members are invited to a congregational meeting on February 28th after the second service. The purpose of this meeting will be to present to the members the discussions and conclusions of the joint Board of Directors and Board of Elders meeting that was held in January.
If you would like to help those in Haiti, consider giving to LCMS World Relief. To give, go to http://www.lcms.org/ and click the Donate Now button at the top of the page by "Haiti Earthquake."
Volunteers are needed to run the projector during the services. Leah has taken this job for several months; however, after March 1st, she will be serving in other capacities for some Sundays. Please contact Leah if you have time to help with this important but simple job.
Two new adult Bible studies have started up on Sunday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. Pastor Barth will lead a study in the sanctuary on "The Work of the Holy Spirit." Paul Petersen will lead a study in the library on a topical DVD series with Rob Bell and Max Lucado. All are welcome!
